ATTENTION PUPPY PARENTS IT IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU DO YOUR
RESEARCH WHEN WANTING TO ADOPT A SHORKIE PUPPY.
THIS
WEBSITE IS IN NO WAY TO TELL YOU WHERE YOU SHOULD GET YOUR
SHORKIE FROM. IT IS NOT THE INTENT OF THIS SITE OR THE
CREATOR DO DISCREDIT OR SLANDER ANY BREEDER.
ALL INFORMATION
ON THIS SITE HAS BEEN GATHERED FROM THE INTERNET, STATE
AGENCIES WHERE THE BREEDERS LIVE, AND THEIR VETS OFFICE'S.
We feel that tiny little Shorkie Dogs - Shorkie puppies
that are so
priceless and potential puppy parents need to be warned about shorkie
breeders that have a bad name in the breeding world and say they have
NOTHING TO LOSE.. Of course they have nothing to lose they will just
start breeding something else.
Here at
www.shorkiebreeders.net we
strive to make adopting Shorkie puppies online a SAFE and PLEASANT experience. We
don't have shorkies for sale.. This website is an informational website. The
information on this site is information we
found on the net. When looking for a shorkie breeder don't look at only at
their advertisements, look at their breeding practices, the care they give
their adult dogs, and puppies, look at them as a person, look at the conduct
they do and last but not least their Shorkie references.
Ask your self,
can I consider this person a friend and trust them? Will this person be
there for me if I have any issues with my baby? Do I feel
comfortable with this perons? If you say NO to any of the
above then step
away no matter how cute the shorkie is.
YOU MUST due your research on any breeder you choose to deal with!!!

SHOULD DO SEARCH'S ON THE BREEDER YOU CHOOSE...
Any breeder can offer an Official 5 year Health Guarantee,
if they are not breeding Shorkies in 5 years your health guarantee is not
worth the paper it is written, unless you spend thousands of dollars to take
the breeder to court. Then you might get a judgment to get your money back
or another shorkie puppy from them.
Most puppy parents will not go thru that and this is what some breeders
count on.
Some breeders say
we will match any Shorkie Breeders health guarantee WORD for WORD ! Why would a breeder need need to match a health
guarantee of another breeder if they offer a good one?
Some breeders say they are here for puppy support for the entire life of your Shorkie
puppy, and they stand behind every puppy with a 5 year health
guarantee. With their contract is not too strict. But when they have a
health issues they then blame the food your puppy was on and find a way to
get out of it. After all their contract is just for genetic issues.
Some breeders say they are very devoted to all the pups and
dedicated to helping owners understand how to care for this special breed.
But they never call you back or answer the phone once your puppy arrives
home. Caller Id is wonderful for them.
Some breeders say all of their adults / puppies for sale have
been given the utmost care and attention. But they are not fed a top quality
food, genetically tested, or kept up to date with their shots or their
shorkie puppies only go to
the vet right before they go home. Some breeders say my shorkie puppies and
adults are raised in our home,
but yet it is really a kennel/ a house just for their dogs.
Some breeders steal photos and content from other breeders websites
to use and change a little then call their own. Like the photo below. Just
to look like a reputable breeders.
WHEN DEALING WITH A BREEDER THE
BEST WAY TO KNOW IF THEY ARE AN ETHICAL, BREEDER AND THE
TYPE OF BABIES THEY PRODUCE IS EMAIL OR CALL THEIR PAST
PUPPY PARENTS. THAT WAY YOU WILL SEE HOW THEIR BABIES ARRIVE
TO THEIR NEW HOME. ASK TO TALK TO THEIR VET.. ASK THEIR
VET ABOUT
THEM AND THEIR BREEDING PRACTICE'S OR EVEN WHAT THEY DO WITH
THE MOM'S AND DAD'S THEY RETIRE THEM. ASK THEIR VET ABOUT
THE TESTING THEY DO ON THE ADULTS THEY BREED.
THEIR VET SHOULD KNOW
ABOUT THEM AND THEIR DOGS. IF THEY REFUSE TO GIVE YOU THEIR
VET INFO I WOULD NOT BUY A SHORKIE FROM THEM...
Make sure you
check out the breeder you are dealing with very carefully. I would stay away
from ANY breeder that have to use other breeders graphics and health guarantees. Make sure your breeder is
being their own person as a breeder and not trying to imitate some one else.
Talk to your breeders vet, make sure it is their vet and not a family member or
friend.
There are many breeders that will tell you one thing and do another.
You need to make sure your breeder is being honest with you. One way
to do this is to call
their vet ask them if they are a in home breeder or if they have a
kennel. Ask the vet if they see their adult dogs on a regular basis,
like for their yearly shots. If the vet tells you that they
can not release that information with out their permission then I
would tell the breeder that you want to talk to their vet about
their breeding practices and how they raise their babies.
If
the breeder says they use more then one vet tell them you want to
talk to all of them. Most breeders will use one maybe two vets
unless the vet specializes in something like ear cropping, fixing
hernia's .. I personally don't see why a breeder would use more then
one.
The
breeder vet should have built a relationship with the breeder over
time, and should know how their babies are raised.
If your
breeder refuse's to give you their vet information RUN...
